Since a very young age I was totally crazy about dogs and like most kids I kept on asking my parents to buy me one.For a longe time was no!Every time a very disappointing answer.A few days before my 13th birthday, my parents told me that I could have a dog. There were, however, what conditions: the dog had to be a male dog, active and not too small. At that moment I worked in a animal shelter, but I taught that there were no dogs which were suitable for me.Buth I wanted to make sure, so I stepped on my bicycle and I had decided to take a good look around in the shelter. After watching all the dogs who sat there, I saw that there was no dog who would really fit to me.I was deeply disappointed. And on my way back along the kennels, I seadenly saw that the kennel which I taught was empty, wasn't empty at all.All of a sudden a dog jumped very high. And yes: there he was!I was in love, what a beautiful dog and he also satisfied to my parents require. He stole every ones heart with his happy face, beautiful brown eyes and an incredibly sensitive character. We were already inseparable and where I was, was he.He was very active and we we're living a very active life.We also loved long hours of walking.Beertje was always there in my life, the happy things, the sad things, he saw it all. When I moved out and went living with my boyfriend, Beertje came along of course.
In 2007, I gave him a friend: Jip.They had so much fun together and were entirely crazy of each other.Beertje was always with me while I was gardening.Simply loose, because he did never hurt anyone and he was always egnoring other dogs.He was just looking at me, while he enjoid my company in the garden. And then it happened: during our last day working in the garden: he fellt over.He was already unconscious and as soon as possible we went to the vet. There did I get the terrible news that Beertje was seriously ill and it was probably a tumour that was starting to grow.I was in shock by this news and I have been taking care of Beer for two more days.On the third day he found it enough.I kept him in my arms while my best friend began on his last journey….
Goodbey my very best friend, I still miss you a lot!
Beertje died on the age of 13 years old...
